System Architect

Summary:

A System Architect works as a consulting team member or an individual technical consultant on project implementation, integration, enhancement or other projects assigned. Duties are usually performed at a customer site. This person works under minimal supervision on mid to large-sized tasks and projects involving multiple products or platforms.

Possible project responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the Project Lead to the consulting team including developing project plans, assigning tasks to project resources, and preparing weekly status reports on specific objectives;
  • The on-site design, development and installation of complex computerized maintenance management systems like Maximo and SAP, including add-on products and modules;
  • Project specification, programming, testing, documentation, installation and user training;
  • Leading or participating in periodic status checks with customers and team to assess progress against plan;
  • Providing support to the Senior System Analysts and System Analysts on the team;
  • And developing or assisting in developing and refining forecasts for project variables as necessary throughout the project.

Basic requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience of implementing and programming CMMS/ERP systems like Maximo and SAP.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of programming integration between CMMS/ERP systems, database platforms, customer-server software, and various legacy systems.
  • Extensive programming experience with JAVA, C, C++, PL/SQL, and other RDB languages
  • Ideal candidates would have the conceptual and cognitive skills to formulate solutions for customer issues and communicate those solutions using business development skills.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Previous consulting experience is a plus.
