Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Engineer

Summary:

GenesisSolutions is looking for engineers with Reliability experience to join us in  helping our customers improve reliability and reduce maintenance cost in their equipment assets..  Qualified candidates will be required to work at client sites all over the  world.  Projects will require the engineer to use reliability principles and tools to conduct reliability analysis on critical assets, develop proactive maintenance programs including  PM Optimization (review, modify, enhance and/or create maintenance routines, task lists and frequencies for equipment maintenance in manufacturing facilities) and recommending  applicable and cost-effictive predicitive technologies. The l candidate will  also have demonstrated  the ability to work in a team environment to achieve consensus concerning maintenance practices. Effective communication is essential including demonstrated written and oral skills.

Project responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting reliability analyses including the use of tools such as FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Cause and Effect analysis and diagrams, flow charting, leading team meetings, maintenance and operations personnel interviews  and developing management repors for customer presentation and discussion.
  • Reviewing equipment history to identify problem areas and root causes
  • Criticality Analysis - Analysis of PM, repair history, production data and business data to identify critical equipment; The Genesis process is to complete critcalty work with customers teams of subject matter experts.
  • Reviewing, modifying and creating spare parts Bills of Material.;
  • I Identify  Critical Spare Parts to include  in the BOMs
  • Recommend a stocking plan for critical spares identified in the Bill of materials.

Basic requirements:

  • A degree in ME, EE, or Industrial Engineering preferred; extensive work experience may substitute.
  • Knowledge of the principles of preventive & predictive maintenance, reliability centered maintenance and equipment performance standards.
  • Extensive experience preparing FMEA reports and the ability to produce sample documents if requested.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively on the plant floor and in a team/client environment (i.e. proven capability to facilitate a group in a problem-solving mode, RCFA effort, RCM FEMA, etc).
  • Candidates  will need to have the conceptual and cognitive skills to formulate solutions for customer reliability issues and communicate those solutions to site management.
  • Business development skills in a consulting environment is a plus .
  • Experience with a major CMMS package is a plus.
  • Previous consulting experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on maintenance and engineering experience in a variety of industries (Pharmaceuticals, Utilities, Oil & Gas , Water.Wastewater, Pulp & Paper, Aerospace, health sciences)  experience is a plus.
